
Biography :
Jean-Robert is a PhD candidate in Geography at Paris 8 University. His research focuses on the emergence and re-emergence of flood risks and associated hydrological challenges in Bukavu, Democratic Republic of Congo. His thesis examines the interaction between social vulnerability, spatial transformations, and urban planning strategies, emphasizing how governance and resilience frameworks can address recurrent natural hazards. Combining fieldwork, spatial analysis, and theoretical perspectives on risk and resilience, Jean-Robert seeks to contribute to both scientific knowledge and policy-making. His academic work reflects a strong commitment to linking environmental risks with sustainable territorial development and community adaptation.
