Biography :
Dr. Syed E. Hasan is an emeritus professor at the University of Missouri, and a two-time recipient of the Senior Fulbright Scholar Award from the U.S. Department of State. He has authored two award-winning college textbooks in waste management: Geology and Hazardous Waste Management (Prentice-Hall, 1996), and Introduction to Waste Management: A Textbook (John Wiley & Sons, 2022). Dr. Hasan is an elected fellow of the Geological Society of America; served as chair of its Environmental & Engineering Geology Division (2008-09), and the Geology & Health Division (2010-11). Currently he is serving on the Editorial Advisory Board of Environmental and Engineering Geoscience.
