Biography :

André Revil is a senior researcher with the CNRS in France. He obtained his engineering degree and Ph-D from the Ecole et Observatoire de Physique du Globe de Strasbourg. He was apointed at Cornell University and Colorado School of mines in USA and CEREGE and EDYTEM in France. His research interests are in petrophysics and geophysical imaging including in the realm of hydrogeophysics, biogeophysics, geothermal systems and volcanoes, and cryosphere. He has published over 392 peer-reviewed papers and received several distinction in his career including the Mintrop award (EAGE, 2010), the Nishida Prize (JpGU), and the Conrad Schlumberger award (EAGE). He is a research Fellow of the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
